Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Well had the appointment with the surgeon today and his plan was already to refer me to one of the two HIPEC specialists in the UK, so although it probably confirms that I have PMP at least I no longer have to fight the Doctors to get taken seriously.

Good, at least you don't need to worry about it. Keep us posted Mark. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. My sister-in-law (oncologist)works in the same hospital with a pioneer in heated chmo Dr. Sugabaker. i can always bug her if we need more info.

I try to find something to smile about everyday, some days it's more difficult than others, apparently I worried the doctors the first time round by being so positive they weren't sure that I had comprehended the situation, I had but nobody told me I couldn't beat it and I felt fine so I stayed happy, this time round I was little down to start off with but with support from friends here and my wife I'm firmly on the side of positive.

p.s. Coogee one way or the other your ever changing avatar brings a smile to my face :-)
