Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
I had a right side resection, cecum and ileocecal valve was removed.
I have so much scar tissue and adhesions (seen on MRI). This is causing pain. Why did I get this, is it normal? Or did I do too much after surgery?
Now the surgeon is saying this: I could see a pain specialist who could do injections directly into the area, or I could have another surgery to remove the scar tissue and adhesions.
Anybody here with this problem and what did you do about it??

Hope your pain is resolved or at least reduced. I have read of possible scar tissue/adhesion on "what to expect after surgery", so it sounds normal. I'm guessing its how some people's body respond to surgery. I know it's not the same thing and most likely not as painful as yours, but I still have pain on the port site after port was removed 8 months ago that was re opened and sutured on the original cut, which caused a very raised, pink scar on my chest called a keloid. so, To have another surgery to remove the scar tissue doesn't make sense, I'd think you would have scar tissue from a new incision, isn't that where it came from to begin with? but I'm not a doctor. just an observation of my own body.
Have you tried the injections? hope it worked.
