Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
The waiting is hard to do and you think all kind of things before hand and you even think well 'what if' things are not good or getting worse.
I am personally going to try and calm down and start life a new now!
I certainly hope your husband is doing well now with his problems. I have been researching some on the Lynch syndrome, and its genetics.
They want to get the genetics of the family! I could give them none. When my Grandparents died, they guessed my grandmother had breast cancer. My father died of COPD and it is unknown what my mother died of? She had appeared healthy, and was found in bed 'Expired'. Again a guess of heart problems?
It is so difficult when no one really knows what they expired from and Autopsy's were rarely done back years ago.
I wish you and your Husband well.

Remember to live one day at a time. Yesterday's gone, tomorrow we don't know. Live just today.
I know this is cliche but it really works.
Another thing I do, is work with others. That keeps my mind off myself. My job as a teacher and social worker keeps me doing this. I also volunteer as a Girl Scout leader. For this summer, I spent some time at a soup kitchen.
I have always enjoyed your posts as I have many on DS. You have a nice way with words!
So proud of all the things you are doing for others. I do so wish I could work again, however that is no excuse for not doing volunteer work and helping others. I am just going to have to push myself harder like I used to do.
I see you live up-state New York and I know it is a beautiful area. I have a friend that lives in the Adirondack area. He has a beautiful view, stream and many acres. God Bless your mother for being so youthful!
I love the little Pug dogs!
