Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

5 years ago I had my cancer surgery, then one session of chemotherapy. I am relieved and grateful to report that I am event and cancer free. After a number of emotions and worrisome times, I thought those of you who are just beginning this process might be comforted to know that happy endings are out there. Although the news and journey may be difficult to handle at times, it can get better. Blessings to all of you.

What a wonderful news, Congratulations.
My brother is stage 3 cancer. It is great to hear there is always hope and beat the odds in life.

That's right. There is always hope. My brother's surgery was longer than what the surgeon told me. I was in the waiting room and was scared something might happen to him so I went to the chapel to pray and went back to the waiting room. Dr said they removed another tumor deep inside which took longer time.
My brother came back from hospital. He could not eat and drink and so weak and skinny. I thought he would not make it. Two weeks ago he started to eat and drink a little. So he is improving. Do not let anything, any words, any doctors, any nurses get you down.
Keep fighting and be strong. Healthy mind can over come obstacles.
I was told by the hospital either send my brother to nursing home to die or take him home so I took him home.
Remember love and kindness are always around us.
You are not alone.
