Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
In regards to would I do chemo again my answer would be yes, having said that I did not have any side effects. I took xeloda for 6 months and though I was warned of hand and foot syndrome I did not have it.
Suppose for me I had to look at what the benefits were and weighed that against the side effects.
Do you know what stage your cancer was and if any lymph lodes are involved. Knowing this would definitely contribute to my decision.
