I am lost in deciding where to go after college. I'm getting a BA in Communications because it opens a lot of doors and offers diverse options for careers.
I have no idea where to go or what to do. I have a strong interest in fashion/makeup/nails. I would be so happy to be a makeup artist but it would have to a side job, it does not pay "enough" for my family to be proud of me. That's a major stressor in my decision, I need to make enough money so that my parents are proud of me. I've been told many times, make lots of money, get yourself a career that makes good money, etc. There are so many careers that are off limits to me because of that. Does it stress me out? Incredibly so. Everyone seems to have their mind made up and I've been struggling from the beginning with not knowing what to do. I have a hard time completing work because I don't have a goal, my mother kindly reminded that my goal was to graduate - not what I meant!
I haven't done my internship yet because I don't know a field that I would go in. Soon I'll just have to do a random one to graduate (it's a graduation requirement at my college). I don't think I'll go to grad school immediately, I need a break as I'm starting to burn out already (and I have 3 semesters after this!)
Don't feel alone with stressing out. Definitely am experiencing major stress about those things too!
