In an effort to relieve myself from the college stress, I ended up hanging out on campus (I am a commuter) with a friend of mine for 12 hours straight. Other friends were with us on and off but we were together the whole time. I realized afterwards I had such a great time I stopped feeling so alone like I feel all the time and now I feel I developed a possible emotional attachment to him.? This has happened before, if I am correct when I bond with male friends to a closer friendship level, probably because I dont have enough close male friendships in my life at the moment. Im just so confused by it and wonder why this happens to me every now and then?
I guess you do not need to worry about the gender prejudices and the overall emotional attachment to males. Indeed, it's actually a privilege to be able to have male friends and good ones.
At college, I had only one friend who was female. And we did get along well. Nothing special, no romantic contact, only friendship.
