Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

You do know a lot. You know that you have feelings that something is not right. You know you are unhappy, angry and unable to openly communicate with your family. You are scared about becoming more committed to this person. You are experiencing the societal drawbacks of an inter-racial relationship.
What more do you need to know that there is an issue pressing for a resolution?
As women (of any race) we are taught to keep the peace. May I point out that keeping silent has not offered you peace only turmoil.
Only you can decide if the relationship is worth the price. You do have a choice.
Have you ever spent any length of time alone, Pam? Or gone right from your family to this man? Learn how to be comfortable alone in your own skin for a few months. Concentrate on your own career, interests, get your own place, etc. You might find being alone sucks, or you might find you like it. Either way, you'll have the proper perspective.
