Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
That woman had more problems than just ones that brought her to a Co-Da meefing.

I was propositioned (almost molested, really...) by a man almost twice my age when I was just 3 months sober around 27 years ago. He had TEN years of sobriety, and used my pain as a way to try to get physical....there's some sick people everywhere, and as the saying goes....Some are sicker than others....and if some of the members in your meeting witnessed this Narcissist make the moves on you.....Shame on them.

I think it's better to just know your weaknesses, work on them individually, and if I want to be social, I do it in a safe space.
Hugs.
You know, it reminds me of where we are in society now--it's all about texting, e-mailing, all correspondence without personal interaction. For me as a good addict, this just assists me in my isolation tendencies, so meetings are good for me in that respect, too.
DON'T get me wrong--thank God for online support groups!
Reminds me of the joke where the patient says, "Doc, it hurts when I do this." To which the doctor replies, "Then don't do it!"
