Yes, yes, a million times yes! I have been a magnet for all sorts of personality disordered people. That does not just mean narcissists. That can mean psychopaths and any other personality disorders. I've dealt with PDs from all 3 clusters but mostly cluster B's. I've been the victim of several career criminals, felons, a registered sex offender, etc etc. The list goes on and on. It's unreal how many of them there are out there and they can spot me from a mile away.

Absolutely. Any Cluster B personality loves to snag a codependent. We empathize and support and enable. We don't set boundaries or have consequences for crossing them.

In my experience, it takes a long time to recover from one of these terribly dysfunctional relationships.

My native language is not English and wanted to know if also friends who have personality disorders are drawn to codependents and viceversa. I didn't get that. This information about codependence is new for me and am not feeling well which makes it more difficult to understand things. Most of the time I understand everything I read in this web page.

Yes. Three of the big ones are Narcissitic personality disorder, addictive personality disorder (drugs, alcohol), and other codependents. Lisa A. Romano has some great YouTube videos on these destructive relationships and how to cope with them.

it's been said that Narcissists usually attract CoDependents because we feel like we want to take care of this person, that is old enough to take care of themselves, and they know how to manipulate a codependent to get their needs met, because it's really just all about them.

Yes! We tend to attract cluster B personalities. I attracted a Borderline, lots of narcissistic traits. You can attract these as friends too. I believe they see how vulnerable we are very easily and how much attention we give them is just what they are looking for. They also take huge advantage because they know we will bend over backwards to make them happy and we set little boundaries up. They are like emotional toddlers, they will push and push to find your limits or breaking points and push past those even to see just how far you will let them and see if they will get away with it.
