Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
Best of luck as you continue to find out what path is best for you.

You have come to a great place though.
Reading your post... I can identify with many things you say. I have only begun to work on my codependency after separation forced me to realize:
1) I was the only one really working at it
2) I was working WAY to hard hard on the relationship
3) No matter what, I would sweep my real emotion under the rug
4) And somehow end up the "misbehavior"
5) I would then victimize myself, build resentment, and repeat.
My wife or STBX became adept at turning everything back towards me perfectly, I always believed it too. I was very successful at being codependent :(. Because of this behavior, I enabled her to... keep the cycle going.
You might want to check out the Break Up and Divorce forum as well, I get great support there at taking care of myself and working against these patterns.
Good luck.
