My ex has been dry for 30 years i still needed alanon
for myself Because i come from it and also dysfunction.
I wish I Had started 30 years ago when i married him.
My ex has been attending AA for awhile now it did
Not help us even with us both in recovery. HUGS
Regardless of him. We are just as effected by the
Disease. Most in alanon are codependents too
even Though that is not the focus.
I am no longer a doormat and there is just so
much To learn. Its a spiritual program of growth
and true Change. Its about being an emotionally
and spiritually Mature adult.
Much of it is reparenting and retraining ourselves
And its a lot of hard inner work. I have a hard time
With change. I just sat and listened, learned and
Absorbed and cried for close to two years. HUGS
