Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
I'm not sure how supportive this group is, nobody has replied to my post today! I just wanted to welcome you and hope that you find the support you need here.
but guess what ? just like that pesky poltergeist Its back ... Another family member another addiction, I feel even worse. There is a very fine line between being a parent and enabling, i just did what i thought was right. I have been doing the best I could. Oh and there are alcoholics all over the place. I'm running out of family members...
I understand what codependency is but I am not choosing these people, they are my relatives and everyone in the family is sick.
Today, I had to have a stern talk with myself. I am depressed and just not functioning well in my daily activities, or my role at home or work. So, I am on a mission of self care as of today. I had to ask for help for myself.... that was new and different because of course i am the last person on my list... but lately I don't even make the cut.
so I am not doing as well i thought, I was still "faking it" even to myself. i got out my books and I am going to read them again.
