Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
My only advice is to try to focus more on yourself and your love for yourself. Every time your mind wanders to her or what she's doing, use that as a reminder to think about something you love about yourself or something that makes you believe you already have all the love you need. You do, it just might not feel easy to access. But you have everything you need already.
When I first started trying to work on my codependency issues and it was nearly impossible for me to stop thinking about a partner and focus on loving myself, I'd pretend I was my own partner. I'd talk to myself lovingly, treat myself lovingly with healthy food and fresh air, just like I'd want a loving partner to want for me. I hope this helps and that you find some relief. Love is with you!
