Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. Got a smart counselor and a caring friend - a lot of people are worse off.
I always figure that changing your routine is a big help for sleeping alone, as like buy some fancy new sheets, and change the bedroom around, and maybe use a fan at night because blowing air and the hum of the motor are very comforting.
Welcome to this group.

Fill your life up w activitys that you like. and when you get board change your dy to dy life a little bit.
focuse on yourself. most people say that being selfess, like it is a bad thing. It's not a bad thing.
There is no way to heal while also trying to live in dysfunction. We need to have peaceful places to reflect and understand why we act in ways that are unhealthy.
I am glad that you are working with a counselor who is helping you heal. You can do it. You don't have to be 100% healed thou before getting back into a relationship. No one ever achieves that!
I am sure that your counselor will help you realize when you are really ready to be in relationships again. Then you will be surprised by how peaceful it is to live without codependence.
Good luck
Sunny
