Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. Could there be a legitimate reason for him to be reading his phone, but not responding? Sitting in a work meeting or something? Sitting in the car at a red light, and then it changes to green? If you think he isn't really doing anything so important that he can't take a minute and respond, maybe it's your intuition telling you something, and not an issue of codependency. In this case, you could try asking him why he didn't answer a particular message.
But if you send him multiple texts per day and he answers most of them except for one, then maybe he really is busy, and thinks one answer will lead to more texts. If this is the case, you can try slowing down.
Actually, he does have a legitimate reason every time and every time I feel bad afterwards that I've made this tragedy in my head over nothing..I usually send him like a text or two, and he responds at 90% and we talk at least twice a day (me calling him or him calling me) when we are apart..it's just that my mind always takes the worst case every time, thinking that he's tired of me, he's going to dump me, he's going to hurt me, etc and it's awful 'cause I don't want to end up bringing this up to myself..It's so hard to control these impulsive and obsessive thoughts, not to let them lead me in something I'll regret doing..it's a tough exercise, I guess to control them..
wisdom and good wisdom will take you far and protect you fiercely GOOD LUCK lots of love your way. Please take it to heart what 11 Christmases said,
because you can destroy personal, professional any relationship if you do not
get this under control. But there is good news! Enough to celebrate and say CHEERS! if you master yourself and admit that it is not normal to be suspicious
and always wondering if someone could potentially do something to screw you over- and you allow your mind to sen the thought your way then take control back in that moment and DONT ACT ON THE THOUGHT-get out of your head like literally (see yourseld stepping out of a head) in the form of
pick up a book, write a to do list, prepare a meal you never did, anything to start to retrain your brain- you will take a HELLUVA load off your back, I mean
when you have mastered it to a point where your like ooh he did not get back to me -all good this gives me a chance to-when you have mastered it to a point where you are like I havent heard from him like all day but when we meet back up- I feel sorry for those bed sheets. Why because absence makes the heart grow fonder. One truth that I had to learn was that a man needs air ,space, and we you and I we need space to develop ,master our own identity. It is a gift to you and it spices up a relationship when he can't find you and there is not easy access to you. Cheers let us know how it goes
I'm trying to see myself as lovable-and sometimes I actually manage for a while, but then many times I feel fear that he'll get bored with me..reading old messages is a good tip, although sometimes I'm so obsessed with my fear that they can't even calm me..Need to try harder..
