Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
What happened to you to make you gravitate to this type of guy? Why is it the best you think you deserve?
It's all about self esteem and our parents are the ones to place that first seed.
I always go back to family of origin to try to re-fashion myself.
Hugs and congrats on finally standing up for something better in your life!
I ended a big relationship that was bad and needed a lot of will power to keep it finished. I read lots of good books on codependency and it changed my life. I joined new all female groups:rowing, running, yoga and some social groups. I think it's best not to rush these and some will work and some won't! I also had therapy. I started dating and realised I had fallen into the same old pattern again so I took two years out of dating to really learn about 'me'. Two years sounds like a long time but it flew by and I can't believe how strong I feel now. I've been with my new partner 1 and a half years and it's the best relationship I've ever been in with a man.
I want to wish you lots of luck.
