Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. Like why I always had to be in a relationship. And why when I was in some terrible relationship, I still would panic/kneejerk into racing to stabilise the relationship if it looked like it was about to break up.
Why could I not let relationships go when they were past their use-by date? Why could I not let people come in and out of my life without making them vital to my existence?
Intriguing.
Many thinks that the therapist will judge and said there is something wrong with them.
They actually listen without judgment, if they were judging and labelling people they would have the wrong profession.
I used to rush from relationship to another until I chose me.
Choosing self and learning to love self really changes your life.
I no longer collect negative and toxic people.
I recently realised how toxic I was before I chose to be happy.
