Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
I remember my friend saying at a meeting that addiction is like dealing with those bobble heads--when one is finally down, another pops up! I try to laugh at that now...for me, it is finding ways to fill that hole or "empty well" without looking for it in a relationship. I love that affirmation/loving thyself page:

I'm going to try focusing on a few each morning. I also found the Hazelton site with "Thoughts of the Day":

I'm watching "The Hangover" right now to get out of my head and put some humor in it --lol
I played the support role in my last relationship--always trying to lift his spirits and insecurities while slowly but surely letting go of my own needs. Last month It became blatantly obvious that this way a one way deal when I was going through a tough time, and the support was not there. I think I realize more and more that I pick me n that are emotionally unavailable....then I get mad that they aren't.....duh! :)
