Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

I am glad for your realization, and hope it helps you aim your healing in the places you most will benefit from.
Definitely bring it up with your next meeting. Sound like a good place to discuss it. Lots of people will likely relate, and sure it might help give language to them that they will use too.
As for what to do to help rid yourself of it?
Just study, practice, forgive, and keep trying. Learn what it is, how it manifests in all sorts of things, how to heal it by understanding it based on beliefs that are simply not true. Examine the results, learn from others mistakes too. Recalibrate and try again.
Most importantly. Learn to improve your relationship with yourself. Aim for all the bits and parts that you probably least likely what to touch. Go after the low hanging fruit too. Some relationships/dynamics are safer grounds to learn. Healthy people will help you and embrace your changes. They dont need you to be dysfunctional as they are functional. Unhealthy people will want you to stay unwell/limited/non optimal, because the change will threaten their own dependencies. Watch out for this. Its one of the hardest parts.
It also serves as a great lighthouse signalling to you what is what.
I'm glad you are adding this component to your journey. Its an extension of the path you are already on. Good for you. It's a new piece of information, and often quite important. I hope over time that you create less anxiety due to recovery in this area.
