Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
please take time for yourself. letting go is only the beginning. because then you are left with you. and if you're anything like me, you may have lost your connection with yourself and that can be very scary. i had forgotten who i was and am slowly rediscovering that. it is only something you can do alone (but with support! here!) and many times the code voice creeps in and wants me to latch back on to someone. but the more you choose yourself, the easier it becomes.
i am not sure where youre at with everything, but i wish you the best :)
But in my opinion (which again you can either accept or not) it's a faliure to have a relationship with yourself so you get into relationships with others to give yourself feelings of validation.
When I started trying to sort myself out, I was doing so thinking that my codependency was causing faliures in my relationships. It was only after I worked out that the real reason is my relationship with myself that everything became clear. That allowed me to see where the problem lied and develop coping strategies and plans of attack to deal with it.
It is terrible, and I hate it!!!!!!
I believe that with help, we can do better. : )
