Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. I hope you get out of that bad situation you are now in.
GOD bless you, sassybabe.
I think a therapist is a good idea. A bit of guidance & someone you can bounce ideas off of, you know?
I have a hard time with getting out around people as well. If you don't feel okay about one on one at this point, group activities are awesome for this because the pressure is way off you. Things like book clubs or exercises classes are excellent because they have a focus that isn't on you, so you get to be around people, but not forced to socialize heavily. Obviously I don't know where you live, but in some cities there are meetup.com groups that are pretty good. I only go to ones that are all women, some of the stuff they do is of no interest to me, but some is alright. Maybe check & see if there are any where you are. I think even if you can just plan to get out for 2 hours once a week, you might start to feel a bit better & more hopeful.
