If she's an alcoholic and even trying to work her program at her best, her emotions and state of mind is gonna be all over the place.
She has a lot to sort out beyond just her drinking problems.
It's great that she's attending AA...but the thing of it is...most people
don't last that long in AA. 99.9% percent of people that attend AA relapse over and over again YEs there's people that has clean and sober time in recovery but that's a very small number compare to the amount of people that goes in and out of AA....
Even if she is successful in AA..she'll change as a person but it doesn't necessary means she's going to change to your liking.
Im ACOA...I got clean and sober since I was a kid but my biggest
struggle is getting involve with alcohlics over and over again.
Ive attended AA/NA for over 25 yrs. It's not a magical cure
as you might think...People don't go into treatment and come
out OK. People don't attend AA/NA and just get well.
Sometimes there's even more issues in recovery.
Well...that's just my experience...some of my Exs attend AA.
She had over 10 yrs clean and sober...but when she relased
it was like reliving the nightmair over again.
I wish things were different. My dad died of alcoholism.
My current ex came from a very dysfunctional background.
Our children are into their addictions. It's a family disease.
It's not ease to accept.
Nothing make sense...Everything that you believe about wanting
to be normal or what should be logical...dosnt stay normal or stable for long.
I know it's not easy. Please just try to take care of yourself.
If you're condependent and attending theropy. You need a lot
of heal too...More than the alcolhilc/addict themselves because
you're problem traumatized by it all.
And you want to resolve it. ..however the answer is in you.
