Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

It sounds like you're going through a lot right now and you're in need of some good support and self-love. I'm glad you're here! Feeling the need to "curl up in a ball for a week" is your brain and body telling you that it's time to focus on you!! We are better off with you AROUND! So, it's time to treat yourself - and that doesn't necessarily take money. You say you like yoga? Go to yogisanonymous.com - click on "LIVE!" they have a few free classes they've supplied for at home yogaing. If you're somewhere with nice weather, take a walk or read a book or journal in a park. Somewhere cold? Take some time to journal at home or medidate. Journaling REALLY helps me. Have a friend or relative who REALLY listens? Give them a call and unload! It's OK - we let people unload on us all of the time and we survive, right? We're allowed to do the same. You can't bring the love and light to others, as you say, unless you're bringing it to yourself as well.
It sounds like you deserve a time out. The woman at work will be judgmental - so let her be! You can let it go and be you. It's hard, I know. But I have faith you can do it!! And it sounds like your friend has plenty of support (and I'll bet you've given her a lot of it). But you're exhausted right now, so let her Mom and sister know that - tell them you need them to take the reins for a bit. You'll be back to it when you're rested and restored - then you can REALLY offer some good help because you'll be energized!
Good luck. Keep coming back here. We'll help you through it!!
