Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
Read "Codependent No More." There's nothing to be afraid about. The dx may be real or not. Even if it's true, that's a good thing since you'll learn more about yourself and can take steps to recovery.
Hugs and welcome.
Accepting that you are co dependent I feel is another step in learning to love yourself and take care of yourself.
This is a good group.
Take care.
I see it as a blessing to get diagnosed as codependency, and I honestly say that you might want to hold tight to that Therapist because a Therapist who is aware of codependency is the best that there is.
When we treat the codependency correctly then it is super powerful medicine that changes our lives for the better, and I mean much better.
Of course codependency is not "bad" and here is a link about codependency which I say puts it into a better view:

My own finding is that by treating the codependency correctly then that will then improve the PTSD and the OCD and it helps with anxiety too.
But it is important to do the treatment correctly, because lots of people get confused about treating their own codependency, so you having a Therapist to work with is a serious blessing because very many Therapist reject codependency and treat it differently.
Getting this diagnosis is NOT some BAD thing - no - this is the way to find your freedom and to start living.
