Cocaine Addiction & Recovery Support Group
Cocaine addiction is the excessive intake of cocaine, and can result in physiological damage, lethargy, depression, or a potentially fatal overdose. Though the immediate craving to do more cocaine is strong and very common, this feeling usually subsides in most users within an hour. This craving can, as it has in many users, develop rather quickly into an intense...
Remember that you have two friends in the situation and you want to help them both! It's clear that Megan has an eagerness for cocaine and isn't yet seeing the negative affects it can cause.
I think it's a good idea for all three of you to sit down and have a chat about the situation. Certainly bring to light that Megan's keen attitude towards the drug is getting more apparent, but be careful because the chances are she won't react well to this. She may submit to the fact and accept what you're saying which is all well and good, but if she reacts very badly, do not argue or engage in negative communication just simply tell her that you're saying the truth (I'm sure Sarah will back you up). Let her storm off if she wants to but she will soon have to face the truth. If she doesn't want to listen to you and can't accept what you're saying, then give her time. Eventually she will come round, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Just to point out, its not very nice to influence friends towards the choice they don't want to make. You and Sarah should certainly still hang out. Start doing things that don't involve drugs and invite Megan along - if she never comes, point that out to her.
Good luck :)
