Cleft Lip / Palate Support Group
Cleft is a congenital deformity caused by a failure in facial development during gestation. It can be treated with surgery shortly after birth with highly successful results. Cleft occurs in somewhere between one in 600 and one in 800 births. Cleft occurs in several severities and is divided in two major categories: cleft lip and cleft palate.

Concerning your questions, I also have some difficulty breathing due to nose anatomy but it hasn't been that much of a concern for me since I hardly do sports.
For the hip pain following the bone graph, I can't offer much help once again since mine healed perfectly and has not caused any pain. Have you talked about it to your ENT specialist ?
And, at last, about confidence, it might be ironic of me to give advice, but the one thing that has been helping me all along was to invest myself in hobbies. Not going to lie, up untill after high school, most people were not very receptive of me (I had like 1-2 friends at best, and not even that close), but even though life can suck at times, a lot of people tend to be less judgemental as they get older and they experience vary.
I'd also encourage you not to be ashamed of expressing yourself as you might think erasing your personnality may make people like or accept you more but you'll end up lonelier putting on facade. Especially since most people you frequent daily now will only be part of your memories later.
Hobbies, and creative endeavours, or in your case sports can really help with that.
I don't know if that last point applies to you, I guess I'd like to deliver it to a younger version of me, since I now have to deal with the consequences of my coping techniques from years before.
In short, do your own thing, do not mind too much about the school social scene and try to develop and sustain real relationships instead. Do not be afraid to do therapy if you feel you can't cope that well.
I could go and on about this but this is starting to turn into a stream of consciousness-like ramble so I'll leave here for now. I encourage you to look for older threads on here which have really insigthful moments (though they really made it harder with the new design. I'm really starting to sound like an old man now lol.)
Take care.
1. Is a surgery to correct your deviated septum part of the future plans for your treatment?
I went through the corrective surgery and got my septum fixed about 4 years ago. It improved my breathing a lot and nowadays I've started swimming classes and other sports.
As it can by my profile pic seen my nose is still assymetrical and I am deciding the details of future surgeries to improve it but aside that I can breath much better than before got my septum corrected.
2. I can't really help you on that. No doubt that you sound seek a professional opinion on this one.
3. Everyone cope in diferent ways but what helped me was that I tried my best to not care at all about what people think about me. I know it's easier said than done and every now and then one will relapse but that is the stance I strive all the time. People's opinions about you are only worth listening when they are offering constructive criticism (i.e. criticism about things you can/should actually change.) otherwise they must be promptly ignored and the bad things they say should not be internalized.
I agree with Woodoow when he suggests that you seek therapy if you find it too difficulty to cope on your own.
My best wishes for you :)
1. I don't really struggle w/ breathing, fortunately. Sometimes my chest feels tight but I am told that's anxiety.
2. Unlike Harry Potter, my scar doesn't hurt, but I am hesitant when it comes to it being touched. Feels weird.
3. I wish I could give life-changing confidence advice, but I don't think I have a lot to offer. Here's what I got: find something you really like and get good at it. It helps to have something to pour all of your insecurities into. Also, life is more fun if you stop worrying about looking serious or weird. Don't constantly try to impress that boy/girl. It's not worth it and you'll be much happier :)
I too was in sports in school. I did a little of everything. My nose was useless in my cleft nostril. I had to consistently breathe out of my mouth or would run out of air. They can fix this most likely later if it continues to give you problems into adulthood.
I too had a bone graph and yes it's always been somewhat sensitive. In football if my hip was kneed or had a serious collision it would hurt more then normal. Even to this day it is slightly more tender sort of like a permanent bruise you can't see.

Bullies rarely succeed. Half will be working minimum wage jobs going on their 4th Marriage because no one likes them. Trust me. Karma works itself out. One day you can look back and laugh to yourself.
