Clarity Community Group
This group originally had been formed to lend support and to have open discussion on the topic of dissociation. We have since opened up to all aspects of PTSD, BPD, DID, BIP, Depression, etc. Basically our group is a safe supportive (non judgemental) place for open discussion on any somewhat related topic. We do not discriminate. We consider ourselves to be...

I've been casually reading a new book entitled, "Endocrine Psychiatry" by Shorter and Fink.
Did you know that people with suicidal intent usually have a form of depression that is largely hormonally based? I was reading about the Dexamethasone Suppression Test and it's been shown to be a fairly accurate marker for Psychotic Depression.
I was reading a report about people who commit suicide and...did you know...that...more often than not...they have Pituitary tumors like mine and others??
There's a huge difference in the types of depression. Bipolar Depression is the worst...then that's followed by Psychotic Depression.
If you are thinking of your death, to alter your mood, then there's a lot of hope for you as there are extremely plausible reasons for thinking this way...both Psychological and Biological.
There's a lot of hope for you, friend. Let us educate you...your worth our time and our love...and we need and want yours...and we can do neither with you gone.
In PTSD, this is not uncommon...as the pain and anxiety are continual...until you can begin to let out your pain and receive from others...the compassion and emotional food you need.
We must never live our lives in a "self-nourishing" lifestyle, in that, people were made for people and none of us got into this world by ourselves and we surely shall not leave without others intervention.
For us to fantacize that we can do this thing called live...totally alone...is an error in judgement.
The reason why people fantacize these kinds of things is because of internalized shame...shame garnered in our early life...conceptualized...and stained into our emotional fabric...a living-dying concept.
We want to hold you; we want you to hold us.
Look at all the friends who have rallied on this thread.
Please especially listen to Tigerpaws. He has been a dear
friend of mine for quite a while now. He is a very caring very
knowledgable man.
Please let us be there for you. Please do not
make the decision to leave this world. This is not the way.
Many hugs,
your friend Rae
I know it might not count for much.....but I tell myself on a daily basis that God put me here for a reason, that the bigger plan includes each and every living thing to connect and make something bigger. We all have a purpose and even though we don't know what it is and sometimes get the crappy end of the stick, something out there is much more bigger than ourselves and we are needed for it to be complete. That we all are individually important.
Some people might think that is stupid, but for me it works and I have implanted this into my brain, almost like I carved it there in Braille so it never leaves me...
I hope you feel better, just know you are not alone in this.
hugs to you.x
I called a friend in tears and she reminded me that holidays and anniversaries are really tough. I can only imagine how touch the death of your husband must be. I'd like to send my love and support along with so many of your other friends here.
. I too understand how anniversaries can be difficult to deal with.
We are all here for you. My thoughts and support are with you 100%
many hugs,
xxx
