And yes, I understand the mixed feelings. I'm not sure exactly why you feel shame and guilt, but it makes sense. Those feelings constantly surround our relationships with our parents, and it is particularly difficult when you are trying to resolve them all on your own. There are so many questions I wished I'd asked them when they were alive.
In any case, I just want to say that I'm here if you need to talk, and am sending you lots of hugs.
Get through it as best you can. I know you will. You're amazing in my eyes!
Anniversaries are very difficult. It is a day on the calender that brings much stress anxiety and reflection. Many "what ifs" run through our heads.
I hope that the day was managable for you and that today is better. I am very sorry for the loss of your mother, especially at such a young age.
