Got offered a liver Monday nite. Reported to hospital at 4 am and was admitted and cleared for transplant. at 7, got the call the donor liver had too much plaque in the vessels and they called it off. what an emotional roller coaster ride. This was my 2 nd offer. I was offered a higher risk organ in Feb when I was in ICU for spleen rupture. Hubby accepted that offer on my behalf. Let ' s hope the 3rd call is a charm.
Had liver angiogram on Wednesday in preparation for Theraspheres treatment on my 2.1 lesion. Yes, the lesion they have been watching finally made the threshold for me to get meld exception points. I am now meld 22. They also checked my tips shunt. They went in thru the groin and neck. My groin is still oozing a little blood today.
After angiogram, nurse told hubby and I that I would be deactivated from the list following the radiation bead treatment. At consult, a week prior, they never said that. After countless calls to the tx center for answer and a meltdown with a TC, I was assured that I would not be deactivated from the list . I have been actively waiting almost 3 years. TC found out that IR doctor decided to hold off on treatment since I received an offer, my tumor took over 3 years to grow, and it is only 2.1 cm. relief flooded over me! I will have an MRI in August to make sure it is not growing. If it does, then I am all set for treatment.
Just nappin and chllin out today. Hubby is making one of my fav's- lasagna!

In all honesty.......I have been cooking for 2 days for family meal together today but was so tired and exhausted (cirrhosis, you know!)
that I coiuldn't eat with the family so, waited until I rested and everyone went home and husband took me to Wendy's for a baked potato with broccholi. Now, I am stuffed and am ready to call it a day.
