Hi


I am new to this group. I am in very late stages of cirrhosis.


Having a hard time getting on transplant list because of insurance.


I am working with SS and Medicare, but it takes a long time.


I am a patient at the Texas Liver Institute. Working with a great Dr.


I stay sick alot and feel like a burden to my daughters, my husband couldn't handle it so he left. I have lost my ability to drive and Dr says I can't work anymore, my brain is not functioning properly.


Glad to have someone to talk to.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I sure hope you get on the transplant list very soon. Sending you a big hug.

Welcome. I too felt like a burden on my family for a long time. I realized that I felt this way because I was always the first one there when they needed me. At this time in my life, I need them to help me now. I told them to always be honest with me and if I ask them for help, and they can not do it at that time to let me know and I would understand. It's not easy giving up our independence and needing help from others but sometimes in our lives it has to be done. I'm very sorry to hear that your husband could not handle the illness.
Stay strong and keep fighting.

They just don't want to see their mother of 53 years die so young. I am staying strong but I spend more and more time in the hospital than at home it feels like..

Has anyone ever heard of a blood transfusion for my illness?

I think my Dr doesn't alot because of insurance reasons.

Does anyone get imbarassed, going out I public being so yellow.
My eyes and skin are really yellow!!!!!
