Relapse and new worries

Hi, early last year due to a lot of personal problems I started daily drinking between 10-12 pints of lager a day starting about mid February 2017. I had an ultrasound done in May 2017 which showed a fatty liver, so I stopped drinking at the end of July and started eating right and exercising. I got a fibroscan done on the 26th of October 2017 by a Hepatologist and the reading was 3.9 Kpa and he said no damage, but Within the last 2 months I have had a couple of major traumas, which has sent me on a 8 week binge of 10-12 lagers a day (very irresponsible I know). Could this have caused me to develop cirrhosis in this time? I have stopped now. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi have they said you have cirrhosis or your just thinking you might? I dont know how much drinking or how long but its a good thing you stopped again...good for you in my mind drinking when you have a liver disease is like playing russian roulette good luck to you take care of you.

Cirrhosis doesn't only occur in people who drink over many years. Like stated in previous, it's russian roulette.
You've stopped. Best to find out why you binge when emotional trauma strikes so you can prevent doing it again.

Thanks for the kind replies and support, I know I need to find a new coping strategy. I also suffer from depression and panic disorder which makes things difficult.

Cognitive behavioral therapy helped me with panic disorder. I learned how to respond to that onset of panic. Finally through away the xanax & ativan, which train you to take a pill, instead of using breath & mindfulness. The pills teach you to need more pills because over time the dosage doesn't work anymore, you need more, you start to have more panic attacks instead of fewer.
