I was hospitalized 3x with now I know is encepolopathy, edema in the legs, and they said something in the report about decoposition. Im in the evaluation stage for a transplant and Im only 37. Ive read so much information and some days are better than others. I know people survive liver cirrohsis from what I have read. Im on meds and completely stopped drinking. I feel normal and I do have a bilary drain in but since I srarted the medication I do feel stable. Is there any advice you guys can give me. I need all the support and info I can get
This is my 3rd surgery to check the drain to see about removal. I go every 6 wks so they can check. This time I was hospitalized for increased heart rate and a temp after the procedure. I should be going home today. Ive been here just overnight. Prior to this Ive been hospitalized the past 3 months for encepolothy which I didnt kbow what it eas at the time and edema. I started the low sodium diet last Oct and Im on lactalose, spiralatone , vitamin b1 vitamin d3 colace, lasixs and pain meds. Peior to starting the extra dose of lasix, antidepressants. I was feeling shitty. Now my body feels great since the meds are under control. Now the biggesting thing is the mood swings and malnutrion since Im in decomposition
at 37 you have excellent chances of turning this around, your cells are young & can rebound.
I've seen a friend in hospice with end stage cirrhosis - ten years ago. She walked out of hospce & never looked back. She has never touched a drink since.
