The nuts and apricots recommended certainly aren't going to harm people, so no problem there.
It's just that we seem to be so bombarded with "don't drink coffee, but now studies prove it's good for you", "don't drink at all, but now a glass of red wine is good for you", "you can eat two eggs a week, then it's five, then ten", "Omega-3 fatty acids are great, in pill form was fine at first but now it's only supposed to be from actual fish", etc.
I know research is an ongoing process as scientists and doctors learn more, but sometimes their studies just come off looking like the infomercial of the week.
Again, I apologize and don't mean to insult you in any way.
A healthy, balanced diet seems to always stand the test of time. Adding some nuts and apricots certainly wouldn't hurt.
