I do occasionally, and it freaks me out because my dental issues escalate into the thousands of dollars when something goes wrong.

But usually, it seems to be part of my whole chronic pain syndrome; everything hurts, and pains move all around my body, even my teeth. Do you grind or clench your teeth when you sleep? Sometimes stress can make your teeth hurt.

I hope the pain gets better soon. I'm not familiar with your conditions, so if it worsens, maybe you can call your dentist.

if you've been on narcotics/muscle relaxers or other pain meds for a long time they can cause your teeth to break down and degrade. They also can cause "dry mouth" which can cause your teeth to degrade.

Might be a good idea to get a checkup from your dentist. If your going to be using pain meds, it's a good idea to get a regular dental check up once or twice a year.

Sinusitis can cause nerve pain. I have dental pain every time I have a cold or an allergy

I get weather headaches, my teeth will hurt, the pain goes to the jaw, ear and up to the top of my head.

I get facial pain and teeth pain, have for the last few years I never had them before like I do no and i am talking past 20 years.

I even had cat scans with dye by to ENTs, been to a dentist, and other specialist and find nothing.

This one dr I saw kept saying it was a sinus infection and gave me an antibotic and I told him it couldnt be one I just go over antibotic. I finally went to an ENT the same day the reg dr said it was a sinus infection.
I was correct no sinus infection. At least by having the catscan with dye I knew it was just fibro pain.

But if I take sudafed it seems to help. Also I think it could be radiating from my neck maybe.

Crazy when you swear something has to be wrong and they find nothing. Alot of xrays on teeth also and nothing. Then in the winter cold weather would really make my face hurt worse.

Try some sudafed and see if that helps.

OldCPer thanks for that info. I didn't think of the pain meds affecting teeth. I hope I remember to mention this to the dr and dentist. I forget things to much. Yes, side effect from Gabapentin. :)

Not to freak anyone out but has anyone had the condition where you have nerve pain in you jaw/face? Starts like Tri....? I would not like that pain.

Thank you for the replies. I don't take pain killers anymore, I did up until last year. The only thing I take for pain is Lyrica & I only take that when the pain is unbearable. I don't think I clench or grind my teeth. I hope my teeth aren't deteriorating, I cant stand going to the dentist. Could it be the steroids?

Not to be a worrier or anything, but sometimes a heart attack can present as jaw pain.

Gordos- I have jaw pain, teeth pain, and face pain. I had what seemed to be phantom tooth pain. Turns out that they left part of a root of the wisdom tooth they took out and that is exactly where the pain starts, but it goes into one of my teeth. Very weird.

Pain causes me to clench my teeth and it hurts, also causes the jaw to hurt.

Since this is new for you, I would talk to your doctor about it. Keep us up to date on how you are doing.

I also have TMJ so if sleep with out a guard my teeth, jaw, and face hurt.
