This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Thanks for your input.

it's a time release med. if you're taking one and a half pills, that half pill is giving a short term boost, then nothing.
same thing with the half pill left for the night, a short burst, then nothing.
when you break it in half, you've broken the coating and it's time release formula. yeah, it's more complicated than that. but you're defeating the purpose of that second pill by breaking it in half.
the best person to discuss the issues of brain fog and fear of addiction and whether or not you need more or less of this med is your doctor.
if you are taking the pills correctly and are only using them for pain, and never getting that high feeling, then your chance of getting addicted are slim to none.
abusing the drug or taking it when you don't need it for pain control is how you get addicted.
seriously, discuss this all with your doctors. we aren't medical professionals here and we don't have your history or medical chart in front of us. we'd only be guessing if we give any advice.
It all makes so much sence now.
Thank you both.
