Hi, I'm new. I was wondering if someone could tell me what degenerative disk disease feels like. I understand it may be different for everyone, but here's my story. I have fibromyalgia and my lower back always hurts even when I am not hurting anywhere else. If I stand it is unbearable. If I sit it is tolerable. When I am standking and walking if feels like my lower back is not strong enough to support me. I'm in a lot of pain and it never goes away like my Fibro does.

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
