Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I would go and see another docotr, who will take his/her time.
My doctor is great, he takes his time and anything new he always listins and never rushes me.
At least they caught what was going on
Once I went to the er with extreme fatigue, fever, nausea and back pain... I was so dehydrated they had to put the iv in my neck... Once I was hydrated they sent me home. The next morning the doc called me and said to come back to the er, I was in the hospital for a week with an abcess on my kidney... The doctors then told me I could have died had I not gone in when I did
Freakin er docs!
Hope yer feelin better soon
Caring ones are in this world, and I pray you will get compassion with proper treatment. Compassion is like the best medicine. If only wisdom came with education . . . .

i went to my dr. today for a follow up. he contradicted everything the e.r. said. according to him the CT showed no signs of diverticulosis, and said that the kidney stones were in the kidney still and that they dont cause pain then. they only cause pain when they start to pass.
it seemed like the only thing that he was concerned about was the elevated white blood count. so i had to have more lab work done to see if it was still elevated. he is also sending me to a gastroentologist because he suspects an ulcer. i finally asked "so what about the back and abdominal pain?? and the rectal bleeding??". he just gave me a blank stare like i was speaking greek! he finally said to avoid excederin, drink lots of water, avoid alchohol. and see ya later.
Oh! he also said my red blood cells were enlarged. he asked how much i drink alchohol and when i said i rarely do he said i must! because that is what causes the red cells to enlarge. i told him i rarely drink and he said "as in not every day?" i drink maybe once every 2-3 MONTHS. even then its only a couple. with all my meds and stuff i know better. he didnt believe me. he didnt say it outright but i could tell.
so now im back to square 1 not knowing what is causing the pain, and the drs acting like jerks!!
~gentle hugs
