Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
'What an important, vital and timely group to form. it seems like so many of us (myself included) were abused as children. It makes you wonder how much of a link there is between chronic pain and abuse.
I found the hardest thing was when my dad did die and I no longer had any hope that he'd change, or at least apologize for what he did to me.
i'll definitely be coming over to visit.
Thanks for posting this!

My mom was so screwed up she used to make us go to the prison every weekend to visit my father, where he was for molesting my older sister, then she took him right back in when he got out...just in time to start on me when I was 8 yrs old. My mom thought she was a great freakin mom and thankfully she's DEAD, just where she should be.
I give neither of my parents any thought any more....they don't deserve to have that power over me after all they did....screw 'em.
I don't really think about that past any more. Once in a while I have an "amnesiac dreamstate" of my father attacking me and I cut myself in my sleep, but thankfully they are lengthy in between and getting lengthier....
I don't need emotional support for any of it, that part of my past is long since dead.
Tendons: I wish there was a way for you to not have to deal with your fathers abuse still. Maybe if you start treating him the way he treats you, he'll back off. Is there no nursing home he can be sent to??
