Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
First, I'm sorry you ended up in the ER and as much as we all hate hospitals, if they say they want to keep you, sometimes it's better to just give in and stay. They may have been able to do some tests that will now take forever to schedule and have done as an O/P.
I hope you're feeling better but if not, I'd go back to the ER and explain what happened this past time and you're willing to stay if they want you to stay. Maybe they'll finally figure out what's going on with you.
We all hate ERs and hospital stays even worse but sometimes they're really necessary..
Love you girl and know your uncle is still in my prayers.
Sandy
So sorry that you had to go to the hospital but I am glad the preliminary tests showed things were ok. I agree with Sandy that if they wanted you to stay it would have been better on you rather than try to schedule some outpatient testing and go through the frustration of that hun. Keep us posted and try to rest today. HUGS...
I tell you my story not to scare you but if I would of had a doctor willing to put me in the hospital it wouldn't of turned into a life threatening moment

Please go back to the hospital and be admitted. The ER cannot provide you in such a short period of time what is needed to find out what is happening.
Unfortunately I was not offered the option. Don't mess around with the pain for too long! I speak from experience as I was sent home only to rbe ushed by ambulance a day later for emergency appendectomy which resulted in my hospital stay of 9 weeks.
Hope you either get better or admitted.
Joanne
You say you don't know what you should do, but the Dr.'s at the ER told you what you should do, if you don't listen to them they can't help you. If your stomach is still hurting and you can't eat you need to go back and let them help you figure out what's going on.
