I have noticed lately ( and I have been here quite awhile on DS) that there are alot of people from WASHINGTON STATE.
Im just curious if this is typical to have a bunch of people all from one state.
Like I said I am just really curious who my neighbors are ... if you feel like it, would ya post your name and where in WA you are from?

I think I know why there are so many of us from Washington..s'pecially the west side.....because of all the rain...we've now rusted and are falling apart..hahahahaha

Well now, I HAVE to say... I think San Fran would be really hard to give up though...
I had to stop through there on a flight to AZ to change planes and OH! WOW! It was a beautiful clear day, no clouds... we are flying in (its kinda like a big loop around to come into the airport) and I could see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, lots of beautiful scenery ( ah... I know... prob not a big deal to most) I just LOVED it! Actually Seattle and SAN FRAN look alike in ways when flying in all the water etc...but I duunnooo this city coming in ...wow...
I would LOVE to go back...pray for a clear day again...enjoy the flight and then see the TOWN on the ground!
We used to say when we grew up and had kids we would tell them if they weren't good we would send them over there across the Bay Bridge where it just dropped off...
The smog so bad you couldn't see where the other side was!!!
I remember learning in grade sch. how beautiful it was when we first found it and the natives were still there..... makes me cry still today.......
You could supposedly see the huge Redwood Trees from across the bay... a real Garden of Eden.... I love being born and raised there as it has made me who I am........
Hippie girl born 1960 in the metaphysical thick of the energy which I carry to this day where ever I go......... Severely spiritually connected and feeling it all........... I'm proud of it........ I try to teach it all to all of my babies......... The new movie AVATAR expresses the energy and spiritual aspects of the way I feel and believe very, very well.
I found more of this energy in Seattle than I knew what to do with and decided a decade ago I want to go there. I feel my roots drying up here in the Rocky Mountains... I pray for the thunderstorms to come daily (they've been coming daily lately!)
I feel connected and where I am supposed to be when bare foot on the dirt of the Pacific No. West Mountains anywhere from San Fransisco North. Grandparents, both sides, from Gold Country in the foothills of the Sierra's and up above Tahoe...... Family built a lot of the history there.... all dead and gone now so nothing but memories left ...... too many people in the City.... want to go more north than I've been... I've lived in So. Western Ore, and up Crater Lake from Medford and I liked Eugene a bit.... but Seattle stole my heart from San Fransisco. Lived outta a ole Chevy Van and my back-pack wandering around up there in my late teens and early twenties for free and for fun it sure was... I miss those days ...... yes I do!!!!!!!!!!

Boy you sure did peg Seattle with your descriptions~~ you know I think we just tell people that it rains here all the time, just so that the Californians dont come rushing up here ( LOL SORRY ITS JUST A JOKE CALI PEOPLE )
Actually my DH keeps telling me that we DO NOT lead the country in rainfall every year...I think Im gonna look that up! Oh and as we all know the year round temp is wonderful isnt it? Never TOO hot and never TOO cold. Summers here are spectacular! I LOVE going over the bridge (Evergreen) and looking at all the boats and the water sparkling and then turning onto I-5 and seeing the water again (Lake Union) the space needle against a dark blue sky! AHHH... LOVE Seattle in summer the most.
How bout if we get 15... Wa locals here...a group will be started! Im all for that!
