I hope your night time meds help you get back to sleep. I awakened at 2:15 and would rather be sleeping, too.

Hi Hugs, I know how frustrating it can be to be in pain 24/7. Your not alone, we are all here for you. One thing that helps be fall asleep besides my meds is take a deep breath in through your nose and in your mind say relaxation (or sleep) in and when you exhale say pain out. I know it may sound silly, but by concentrating on your breathing and repeating those words in your mind it tends to really relax you and takes the mind off of the pain and hopefully you will fall asleep while doing it. I sure hope your pain let's up and you are able to get some sleep. Please let us know how your doing. One more thing this can be used at anytime find your own words of affirmation like relaxation in...stress out etc. Good luck hope this helps

Hi hugs...so sorry you are in so much pain. Please know that I care and when no meds work I try to distract myself with law and order reruns or Tyler Perry's House of Payne sitcom or The Price is Right, Jeopardy, or Wheel of Fortune on Facebook. Deal or No Deal is a good game too that doesn't require any brainpower. For me this helps pass the time while I wait on meds to work. I hope you start feeling better soon hun!! (((((((hugs))))))))) Also try alternating ice with heat too...sometimes depending on the type of pain this can help too.

I understand about the pain bc I suffer with it around the clock too and it sure gets old. However, we are with you and you are not alone anymore!!

I totally agree with you , I just want one night that I can climb into be in the raw an just drift off to sleep. I soaked in my hot tub and took two Benadryl , I am itchy from head to toe for some reason Which actually takes away my pain issue because the itching is driving me nuts. I am going to shower but wanted to check in and say hang in there I hear you okay isabee

Hugs I hate to hear your not sleeping. Not getting enough sleep makes the pain worse. I don't have trouble going to sleep. I usually take an ambien if I'm not exhausted that is.

My problem is I wake up in severe pain after about 4 hours. Last night the pain in both of my hips was so bad I had to take an extra pain pill and go back to sleep. After 30 minutes I feel back to sleep only to wake a few hours later with the same level of pain.

The deep breathing technique is a good idea. I'd talk to your Dr. about not sleeping. Maybe he/she will help you. I'm usually awake and online every night until 1 or 2am. If you can't sleep holler at me sometime.

I understand how you feel. I got one hour of sleep last night because my arms and legs hurt so bad...there are many nights I lay awake in pain and doctors haven't been able to diagnose me either :( You are not alone!!!! :) We are here for you!

I generally have no trouble sleeping but every so often I think it gets everyone. I found something recently that works very well. It's called Mid-Nite and I found it in CVS. It's a combination of very low dose melatonine and some herbs. Melatonine alone never worked for me so it must be the other stuff.

The best part is that you can take this at anytime during the night and I wake up feeling fine. No hangover feeling.

Of course if you have any conditions or take any drugs you should check with your doctor or pharmacist. Even natural things like this can interract with other meds.
