cannot tell you why but sometimes this is because of anesthesia...but ultrasound doesn't use that....so no idea....good luck Tuesday hope they find that things are going to be better for you....

Thanks Bill! I know you understand this better than most people. At least now I understand why you had a stent and I didn't- because I chose the ECW litho and you must've had the laser one! I'm STILL holding out for another ECW one so I don't have that stent that would drive me NUTS. Sometimes I don't think doctors even consider how a patient can get by at home after surgery.

I also wonder if my Urologist filled out the form wrong. I won't be having anesthesia and am driving myself, so someone might've messed up. But it won't hurt to call on Monday to check in.

Meanwhile, I'm laying here with odd pain in my side, plus the sharp pains in the groin area and the sharp pains in the kidney area that wake me up. Maybe the Ultrasound needs no food or drink b/c they're checking on the kidney itself? All the doc said to me was, "We'll give you an ultrasound since you've had so many X-rays and CT scans. We want to limit the amount of radiation." If I'd known the US would be such a bother, I would've told them to just zap me in a CT! ;)

I've had them with no food or water. It was explained to me that they could get a clearer pic without "--" in the way. I had adhesions and multiple cysts on my kidneys. Whether this was really necessary or not I don't know.

I had no kind of choice on my litho....just got told they were putting in stent and that might help me pass stone....nope it just hurt like hell....actually thought I had appendicitis and went to ER again afterwards....
