So, I almost put Monday morning. Hubby's work schedule has me all tweeked as to what day it is. Sometimes he works two days in a row, sometimes three. The same goes for his days off, sometimes two, sometimes three. I know that in a two week period it works out to just over 80 hours worked and then repeats the same schedule... but I have to check the calendar as to what days he has on or off.
Today I am going to try to move. We did not get a turkey, but hubby wants turkey hash so yesterday I roasted five chickens from the bottom of the freezer. My hope is to debone them and make gravy out of the drippings. At least that is my goal. Yesterday getting them cooked was about it for me.
This morning we are all going to get together at everyone's leisure. Majestic dragons, white or black, will painlessly whisk everyone to a beach where the temperature is a warm 75 degrees, the water is a sweet 65 degrees, and the sand is soft and warm in the toes.
The food spread is significant. The staples of any breakfast are represented with eggs cooked to order, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, grits, Cream of Wheat, and of course heaping plates of calorie free BACON. There are also colorful plates of diced fruit with dozens of different kinds of perfect ripe varieties.
anyone have a family recipe they want to share?
Turkey Hash:
Take all turkey meat, stuffing, mashed potato, and gravy left overs from a turkey dinner and cut any big pieces into small pieces. Place all of it into a huge pot and put on medium heat on the stove. Add additional chicken stock for moisture, and cranberry sauce to taste - depending on volume, I love cranberry sauce so I will add two or three cans to what fills up a stock pot. Soy sauce also to taste - I add about 1/2 cup.
Stir frequently and boil for at least an hour, two is better, longer if fine if stirred frequently.
The soy sauce and cranberry sauce give this a bit of a kick, but once used to the taste, every one in my family prefers it to the actual dinner. I make up extra stuffing to make sure of a good stuffing to meat ratio of about 2 to 1. It does not look like something anyone wants to eat as the ingredients sort of melt into a lumpy slush of flavors, but I promise, you will be hooked!!

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I will have some Turkey Hash*(chickens included) Kool....I am glad we have a breakfast this morning...you are up early...it is just 8am here and things are sort of off today in STL MO as things went rioting last night....they were within two miles of my house with protesters closing down a major US Highway 44.....they had hundreds of people in the street that cut the hiway off for traffic...
Then Fergusson went riots again with many buildings being burned to ground....
It is too sad...I am white I guess because of that I just cannot wrap myself in these actions...protesters are out there again today more peaceful...the decision of the local prosecutor to release the result of grand jury decision at 8pm in total darkness was the worst decision made.....if perhaps they released that today after day break things might not have gone so badly for the businesses in fergusson where they just started fire after fire....
I heard helicopter over head last night and I opened my gun safe and loaded my clips for my pistol....then put the pistol on my bed for the night....while I would only think the protesters would be over a block away I did not feel safe enough to not have way to protect myself here in my own home....
sorry this went off topic
I, too, would have slept with a loaded gun with protesters less than a couple blocks away!! Holy crap!! I am glad you and Tucker and Shep came through it ok!! (Says the woman who's hubby sleeps with an 18" dagger under his pillow and three sharp swords between him and the bedroom door.)
I honestly can't wrap my head around people protesting by rioting, at least not in the USA. The way to protest a decision that people see as not following correct laws is not best served by riots - but the riots, at least to me, prove that at best, neither side is keeping to the laws.
It is early here. I did hubby's laundry at the last minute yesterday. As he is afraid of the disaster that is the laundry room, I had to fling myself out of bed to get him his clothes for work at 4am this morning. By the time he got me a hug before dashing out the door, I was awake. Grrrr... 4am is an EVIL thing. It is now just after 7am and I am hoping that I will get tired enough to go back to bed some time this morning.
Yadlim it really sounds interesting making armor. I read in your other post. Thanks for starting the morning chat.
I haven't been on in awhile. All of life's little challenges.
Hope to catch up on everyone soon.
Wishing all a low pain day.
Hugs-RJ
And yes, making armor is a BLAST...
Snakes well last one I saw I caught was tiny little green garter snake in my back yard as I was cutting grass last year.....
I have not encountered a poisonous snake in all my adventures as a hunter and outdoorsman....never...dang glad of that too...but the boots I bought for my hunting are indicative of my fear...they are what is called snake boots...they go almost to my knee and are supposed to be impossible to penetrate with fangs....
I used to hunt birds with my two hunting doggies may they rest in peace....
no more hunting now because no land really to hunt on....I could go to the farm my great grandfather had as that man farming it now allows me to come out there and hunt any time I want to but thing is it is long drive and no place to spend the night....for deer hunting it is too cold to camp out...
