Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
But, am at a loss what to say.
I think most who live with chronic, intractable pain,
Have considered ending it at some time.
Especially if we are I'll as well as in pain.
I'm so sorry you're feeling this desperate.
Do you have any " real life" support you can talk to?
.. what has gotten you this far?
We're here.

If there is anyone you could talk to face to face about how you are feeling and what the pain is doing to you I hope you can do it very soon. Any doctors, support program people, friends, councillor, anyone.
Pain constantly can be so very dibilitating and zap all the positive out of you. I do hope that you will reconsider your thought.
here today , what is causing your pain i know it seems hopeless at this time but later you well change your mind hugging you and sending prayers or good vibs hugs min
Who is the little dog in your picture?
Hang on because one day soon there may be real treatments and cures for pain.
When my spirit gets low I imagine a door where I walk through it, close it and allow myself to leave my troubles behind me for at least a little while. This has a calming effect.
Another way is to think is this what you really want or is it a break from the pain that you are after. I hope most are just looking for that break. Then look for distraction. If it is serious of course look for help.
If what you are doing isn't working, then speak to your doctor. Pain meds are never enough. They are meant to go along with other treatments and it can take a long time to find what works for you. It took me years, I'm not cured, I have pain, I have bad days, but I am better than I was. I accept that.
I believe you took a step in the right direction......you put this post up. You are seeking help, which implies you really want to make it work. Take it a step further and share your feelings with an expert or someone irl. My suggestions are for day to day.
I wish you the best....hugs
Take depression meds. Only help so much.
The little dog is my chihuahua. She is my life line along with my 3 minpins. They take my mind off of things. And yes they do need me.
I'm too chicken to kill myself. Knowing me I would screw it up and live and have even more pain.
Health care will have to change soon in the US then chronic pain won't just be a revolving door cash cow ( sorry to mix metaphors!) but someone will actually work to find a cure.

I can so relate to this horrible of feeling of being trapped by pain in a limbo between wanting to live and wanting it to end..
I think isolation is very damaging to all of us...
I don't know if it will help you at all but sometimes swaddling can decrease that awful crisis feeling.
I have a plush blanket and I swaddle in bed tightly at night .
Also being outside may relief some of the feeling of being trapped.
I can really relate to Jeremy's post. I have been living with burning and slicing brain pain for going on 8 years now. It stems from a bad vehicle accident that I was in 20 years ago at age 16. My meds do not work for a long period of time and I guess the amount of time that I do get relief is not enough. Really I'm in pain most of the time and home after a sick leave. I just got denied ssdi and have started the appeal process. I have very little support and am scared because I do not know how much more of this daily pain and suffering I can take. I got drunk one day at like 9 AM (Second time in my life) just to try to stop the pain and it only made me get angry. I am a fun loving and caring person but the pain is trying to make me something different. I fight it everyday. Please, if you pray to God, please pray for me and my family. I just don't know what to do anymore. Help!
Abby
I have no patience, tolerance or will to live this way either, nobody does, but you take it one day at a time, there is good in life, despite all our pain, please reconsider...or speak to someone about it.
