Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Yesterday was my day to do too much. I knew I was doing too much and I knew I would be down for several days because of it. I was actually up and moving for 5 hours, counting the 30 minutes getting driven to the horse stable and the 30 minutes back - that means I spent 4 hours yesterday with the horses...
About a third of that time was spent in the saddle - the rest talking to other people while I mostly sat in a chair next to my horse.
I was so tired when we got home I barely managed a shower and to stay awake a bit past 8pm... I did not sleep well and at 6am this morning got up because I hurt too much to lay still any longer...
Start of a bad pain day right? Well, I took my morning meds and vegged out in front of my computer for three hours and was feeling decent. My pain was at about a 5. Heck, I can conquer the world at a pain of five!!!
Yup - then I tried to stand up to get a bowl of cereal... and the pain hit like a mac truck. Muscles in my legs are screaming protest as I have not ridden in a month. My spine is spasming almost to the point I can't breath. I am now sitting at a good 9.5 in pain, wishing I had never been so silly as to try to stand up!! I knew today was going to be bad. I had planned for it.
Yadlim who is doing nothing today!!!
Misha who has gone back to bed

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I am sorry your so soar today....that is a bad pain level when 10 is turn the dirt over me in my grave pain.....
I hope it does not last too many days as you thought five days or so....
I guess that therapy horse is some kind of sadistic therapy...kidding...I know horse therapy is good for many people....much too much for you yesterday though...
hugs bill
Hehehehe sadistic horse, yup, that is MY horse! For me, the horses are a serious stress relief and really the only way for me to exercise. It is a very serious workout that I can do as long as I can climb up the three step ladder and get on the horse. It works all the core muscles as well as every muscle in your legs. While looking like I am just sitting there on the horse, I burn more than 400 calories an hour.
When I am good and go out often and ride it does not knock me down like this. I just had to take a month off to get done with school.
Ug, forgot that hubby has a Dr apt today. I have to get dressed and keep him company.
LOL - and yes, Misha should be sitting on my feet, but as I am not actively doing anything that is hurting myself, just aching from yesterday, she does not know how to respond to that. She is only 10 months old... not quite perfect... YET!

I know that when I was in the hospital for my broken back, the nurses would ask my hubby when he would walk my Service Dog if he would stop by some of the other floors and have her visit with the other patients. My dog at the time was a Belgium Malimois and she loved the attention.
Sigh, today has been way too busy. I am going to be down again tomorrow.
Hugs

I took hubby to the Dr and got him his high blood pressure medication renewed - we have to pick it up tomorrow cause that just did not happen.
I went into the Post Office and picked up my meds (all the non-opiates).
Then to Target and I picked up an OTC TENS unit... which I have on my back right now :)
We came home and crashed for a two hour nap then a young man I am teaching chainmail weaving to stopped by for 4 hours to be friendly - not really understanding that just trying to be up and in the conversation is exhausting to me.
I know my leg pain is nothing compared to what you go through on a daily basis, Yadlim. I just wanted to throw my own personal experience out there. But can definitely relate to over-doing things. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tonight. Hugs!
LOL, I am feeling much better. I had a killer headache this morning, but it turned out to be lack of caffeine! When we go to the VA hospital, my reward for going is we get an espresso on the way. Apparently we have been going often enough for me to have gotten addicted again. Ug. That is an addiction I do not need! A $5 a day drink is NOT in my budget.
Looks like I am going to switch from herbal teas to black tea for a while until I get over that need. But so far today I have not had any pain meds in well over six hours!!! I am going to work on cleaning the kitchen later this evening - in little bursts.
Oh, and Jeremy, leg pain can be devastating!! Don't ever let someone say it is not! Undefined knee pain lost me my military career. It is what has slowed my walk to a crawl for the last 20 years - yeah, I was dumb enough to also break my spine, but it was knee pain that first screwed my life.
