Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I hope you can get some relief soon dear.
This is a stretch but since your saying none of the usual things are helping the pain, could you have a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) in that leg? They usually cause incredible pain. Is your leg warm to touch, or redder than the other leg?
I agree that you should go to your Dr. and get it scanned so you can see what's going on. Normally pulled muscles don't hurt as much as your saying, and they respond to ice/heat and rest.

So i am not sure but could be you have something similar going on between your L4 and L5 and S1 like me? Definately get an MRI!
I apologize, i dont know much about your medical conditions, but are you on blood thinners or statins? Have you used an antibiotic recently like Levaquin or any other quinolone type antibiotic?
I just suggest you have the soft tissue of your leg checked. I have a friend here on DS with a torn calf muscle who almost had to have surgery for it and they expect it to take months to heal. Is it possible you could have pulled the muscle?
hugs and know I just want to help!!!
