The Massive Shooting in Colorado

Please lets forget about ourselves for a moment, and say a prayer for those who died last night.

If you're unaware, there was a shooting at a Aurora, Colorado movie theater, where a gunman opened fire, killing 12 and injuring at least 50 more people. No one knows his motivation, but the police do have him in custody

I think that they should close all of the movie theaters in all of the us. to remember all the victims who lost their lives What do you all think.

tabby, it was a horrible tragedy and still is for the suffering families and those struggling in hospitals, but i don't know if closing theaters is a big help...i don't know how to pay proper respects.

Tabby2010, I hate to be pessimistic, but I believe we'll see more and more of this as time goes on. Violence has broken out in waves all over the world. It's a mixed up, insane, evil world that we live in because of mixed up, insane, evil people in it, and boy are they working over time. Try to stay safe whereever you go, and whatever you do. We're not living in Mayberry R.F.D. anymore. Times have changed and I wish I could say for the better, but evidence proves me wrong.
I commend you for wanting to pay tribute and honor to those who are suffering because of this madness by praying for them. They surely need it. We all need the protective hand of God over us. We don't know where evil will strike next.

This whole tragedy has been weighing heavily on my mind all day today. I'm heartbroken for those victim's family's and everybody involved. I love that area....I've been many times.

As far as closing all the movie theaters in the US. I'm not sure about them being closed for any length of time, but I do think it would be very respectful if perhaps they could make a recording or some kind of brief production paying tribute to the victims....and just announce to have a moment of silence. I think maybe the theaters should do this for a month or so. But for the theaters to close, it's not fair to the theaters, the entertainment industry, or the economy...and I think it plays right into the hands of the shooter, who obviously thrives off of the attention.
