This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

You'll recover at your own rate.
I'm sorry you overheard the nurse talking about you. I can understand their suspicions, based on their occupations, about young people and pain medicine ----- except for the fact that you just had surgery.
Hope you're feeling better very soon and can get some rest tonight.
When you're up to it, please post and let us know.
the night my appendix ruptured they wouldn't call the on call doctor

If you just had a TKR yesterday...you wouldn't really have had 2 days of PT...they mainly want to make sure you can get up and around on crutches before you go home, and get the joint bending. They don't start the real PT until several days after your surgery. Don't rush yourself, you don't want to hurt yourself...take it easy on you and rest and get your strength up.
Are you not on a PCA for your pain control, that's usually the standard of care for a major operation like a TKR.
Hopefully the swelling will go down and you'll be feeling better tomorrow. Hang in there.
