Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
That's a long time to go with undiagnosed pain. There are many things that could be causing it...IBS, chrons disease, etc. What part of the stomach is it...upper or lower.
I think I'd have to go at this point to see a doctor maybe at a teaching hospital nearby. They'd be more on the cutting edge of what's going on.
I'm sorry you're going through this. I pray you find out the answer. Keep us posted, ok?
Take care....ELizabeth
The part about having your baby four weeks ago and having stomach pain concerns me. I would encourage you to talk to your OB if you haven't already tomorrow.
I had a lot of pain and diarrhea when I was your age. I had a colonoscopy and had two polyps removed, one was a villous adenoma which is very precancerous. I also would urge you to see a gastroenterologist and discuss your symptoms. It could be as simple as iBS, which while annoying, should not keep you from having a full life. Have you been worked up for ulcers?
You have got to get you well so that you can properly care for your baby. I am only throwing the above suggestions out for thought. I am not medically qualified or licensed to give advice. I am only trying to give you suggestions based on my own experience.
Take care, hon, and please keep us updated on how you feel.
Big hugs.
Melinda
You sound exactly like I always felt before I knew to stop eating gluten.
The stomach is so complex and it could be a hundred things I would guess. When is the pain at it's worse? Is is after you eat or is it after you eat certain foods Is it at night or during the day? ETC.....
1 ultrasounds
2 blood test.
3 allergy test.
Is there any other test they should try
And welcome to our group. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this pain and have been so long. But you have found a group of kindred souls here. We all share the common thread of pain, and though our illnesses differ together we form a beautiful quilt of support and compassion.
You have already recieved lots of great information and advice. From my own health history I would advise you to check out Endometriosis. This can be done with an Ultrasound and an MRI. The Ultrasound was most helpful in my case. The technician used a vaginal probe and was able to finally get the pictures needed for my diagnosis. This problem can cause the pain you are describing.
I hope that you find the sourse of your pain soon. We will be here for you. And I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Cathy
